The crypto wealth boom is real. Global cryptocurrency holdings now represent $3.3 trillion, with 241,700 millionaires and 36 billionaires holding digital assets. That’s a 40% year-over-year jump in Bitcoin millionaires, fueled by BTC price gains and accelerating institutional adoption.

According to Henley & Partners, 60% of crypto millionaires owe their fortunes to Bitcoin. The leading cryptocurrency created 450 centimillionaires, individuals with $100 million or more, and Bitcoin millionaire numbers alone surged 70% annually.

Bitcoin billionaires jumped 55%, as BTC reached historic levels above $124,000 this year, generating 17 new billionaires, nearly half of all crypto billionaires globally.

Crypto adoption is skyrocketing. There are now 590 million users worldwide about 7.4% of the global population. Bitcoin holders alone number 295 million, marking a 7% year-over-year increase. Singapore, Hong Kong, and the U.S. are leading adoption, thanks to favorable regulations and robust infrastructure.

JAN3 CEO Samson Mow highlighted Bitcoin’s fixed 21 million supply, contrasting it with traditional currency inflation and signaling a paradigm shift in wealth creation.

Meanwhile, Henley & Partners’ Dominic Volek emphasized the borderless nature of crypto: with billions accessible from anywhere using just a private key, cryptocurrency is disrupting centuries of location-dependent wealth storage.

The takeaway? Bitcoin isn’t just creating wealth, it’s reshaping global finance, enabling a new, borderless elite to emerge faster than ever.
