Real Finance Raises $29 Million to Accelerate Real-World Asset Tokenization

Real Finance has closed a $29 million private funding round to develop a robust infrastructure layer for real-world assets (RWA), targeting easier institutional adoption of tokenized investments. Nimbus Capital led the round with a $25 million commitment, joined by Magnus Capital and Frekaz Group.

The funds will fuel expansion of compliance and operational infrastructure, while supporting the creation of a full-stack RWA platform. Real Finance aims to tokenize $500 million in real-world assets in the near term, which represents roughly 2% of today’s tokenized asset market.

Historically, the tokenization market has been dominated by U.S. Treasury products, private credit, and institutional alternative funds, but interest in tokenized equities and other asset classes is growing as the sector matures. Money market funds in tokenized form have seen particularly rapid adoption, increasing roughly tenfold since 2023, according to the Bank for International Settlements.

Major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon are entering the tokenized money market space, lending credibility and scale to the expanding sector. Their involvement signals that traditional finance sees tangible value in blockchain-based asset solutions.

Chris Yin, CEO of Plume, a layer-2 blockchain for RWA, called 2025 a landmark year for tokenized assets due to surging institutional participation. Yin forecasts that 2026 could bring a 25x increase in user growth, with demand extending beyond U.S. debt to private credit, energy assets, mineral rights, and even GPUs.

Binance Research supports this outlook, noting that regulatory clarity in the U.S. could encourage more major institutions to explore tokenization. With both institutional demand and legal frameworks aligning, the RWA market is poised for explosive growth, unlocking new opportunities for investors and blockchain infrastructure providers alike.

Real Finance is positioning itself at the center of this expansion, building the tools institutions need to seamlessly integrate tokenized assets into their portfolios.
